ORONOCO, MN, UNITED STATES, August 6, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Junge’s Flooring, a family-owned flooring and window treatment retailer that has served the Rochester area since 2017, will hold a grand opening celebration August 12–14 at its new showroom at 15 Energy Lane SW in Oronoco.

The larger location sits in a highly visible spot just off U.S. Highway 52, making it easier for customers across the Rochester metro and surrounding communities to visit. Owners Steve and Mindy Junge say the move reflects both practical needs and a desire to stay rooted in the region as it grows.

“We wanted a space that was easier for people to find and large enough to show more of what we do,” said Steve Junge, who began installing floors in Rochester in 1994. “Being right off Highway 52 has already made a difference. People recognize us when we’re out and about, and that connection matters.”

Oronoco sits on the northern edge of the expanding Rochester area. According to U.S. Census Bureau estimates, Rochester’s population reached about 124,292 as of July 2025, up roughly 2.4% since the 2020 census. Oronoco itself has grown substantially over the past decade. It remains tight-knit and many residents treat as a bedroom community for Rochester. The Junges say that balance - proximity to a growing city while remaining part of a smaller town - was central to the decision.

“Rochester will always be home for us,” said Mindy Junge. “Oronoco feels like a natural extension of that. It’s close enough that we keep our deep Rochester roots, and small enough that neighbors still know each other. We wanted a place where customers feel welcome the moment they walk in.”

Grand Opening Schedule

The public is invited throughout the three-day event. Highlights include:

Wednesday, August 12

• 10 a.m.: Ribbon-cutting ceremony with the Chamber of Commerce
• 2–5 p.m.: Live remote broadcast from MN97.5; visitors can enter the station’s summer cash prize giveaway
• Entry for a summer prize pack (all-American red, white & blue picnic chair, Yeti cooler, and tumbler)
• Opportunity to meet major flooring manufacturer representatives on-site
• Entry for a $3,000 giveaway toward Engineered Flooring products (sponsored by Engineered Flooring)

August 12–14

• Visitors may enter drawings and visit with manufacturer representatives to answer product questions.

About the new location

The Oronoco showroom gives the company more room to display carpet, hardwood, laminate, vinyl, tile, area rugs, and window treatments, along with space for consultations. Junge’s Flooring continues to offer free in-home estimates, shop-at-home service, commercial flooring, hardwood refinishing, water-damage restoration support, and financing options. The business has been recognized locally, including as a Post Bulletin “Best of the Best” 2025 award winner.
