THE WOODLANDS, TX, UNITED STATES, August 6, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Design Tech Homes is proud to announce that its showcase model home in The Estates of Texas Grand Ranch has been honored with two prestigious awards at the 2026 Texas Institute of Building Design (TIBD) Design Competition, recognizing the company's commitment to exceptional custom home design, innovation, and craftsmanship.

The showcase home received First Place in the Built & Photographed Residential 4,001 Square Feet and Over category and was also honored with the W.R. Coleman Award for Best in Show, one of the competition's highest recognitions.

For Barbara and Mike Feigin, founders of Design Tech Homes, the recognition represents much more than two awards.

It reflects nearly three decades of building a company where talented people work together with one shared purpose: creating exceptional custom homes and delivering an outstanding experience for every homeowner.

"When we founded Design Tech Homes nearly 30 years ago, our goal was to build more than beautiful homes. We wanted to build a company where talented people could collaborate, innovate, and serve families with excellence every day," said Barbara and Mike Feigin, owners of Design Tech Homes. "These awards are especially meaningful because they recognize the work of our entire team. Every designer, engineer, estimator, purchasing specialist, construction manager, customer care representative, trade partner, and employee who contributes to each home shares in this achievement."

One of the defining characteristics of Design Tech Homes has always been its experienced in-house design team, led by Senior Design Manager Chad Ballard, who has been part of the Design Tech Homes family for more than 26 years. Together, the team works closely with homeowners to create custom homes that are as functional as they are beautiful, balancing timeless design with the unique lifestyles of every family they serve.

Unlike many builders that rely on outside designers or pre-designed plans, Design Tech Homes believes exceptional homes begin with collaboration. Every custom home is thoughtfully designed by its in-house team before moving through engineering, estimating, purchasing, and construction, creating a seamless process focused on quality, personalization, and long-term value.

The award-winning showcase home in The Estates of Texas Grand Ranch reflects that philosophy from beginning to end. Every space was intentionally designed to enhance the way families gather, entertain, relax, and live, while showcasing the craftsmanship and attention to detail that have become hallmarks of the Design Tech Homes experience.

While industry recognition is an incredible honor, the true measure of success has always been the families who choose Design Tech Homes to bring their dreams to life.

"We've always believed that great homes are never created by one person," the Feigins added. "They're the result of talented people working together with a shared vision. Our philosophy has always been One Team. One Vision., and these awards reflect that commitment. We're incredibly proud of our team and grateful to the homeowners who continue to place their trust in us."

As an award-winning custom home builder, Design Tech Homes continues to invest in innovation, experienced professionals, and a collaborative design process that gives homeowners confidence from their first design meeting through the completion of their home.

Families interested in experiencing the award-winning design firsthand are invited to visit the showcase home in The Estates of Texas Grand Ranch and discover how Design Tech Homes transforms ideas into thoughtfully designed custom homes built on each family's own property throughout the Greater Houston area.
